Only problem is getting through phone to book an appointment when we desperately need because I suffer from severe asthma. It takes more than 30 or 40 minutes to get through and when connected all appointments are fully booked and we are told to call next morning

It’s absolutely necessary to prebook appointments so we get seen by doctor according to our work schedule too
Phone line to book appointments should not take so long to get through

Maybe kore people to answer the phone when calling for an appointment

I am not sure to give precise answer to this question. When phoning for appointment on the day. It seems time scale for answering calls are between 30-45 minutes, probably sometimes more than this. When answering the call all apts are used up. People are thenr referred to other places etc MVHC. Patient who have been with the practice for generation it is not fair for them having apt elsewhere.

Nor sue if the practice monitor calls and why actions not being taken yet. As I work for NHS we understand how busy and frustrating calls we receive, but we do not take 30-45 to answer one call we can response to calls within 5 minutes even though our lines are busy.
I hope this is main line and surgery need to take attention.
