Firstly I was given an appointment at very short notice, due in 20mins after my consultation call with the Doctor, even though I had an injury and a long distance to travel I accepted the appointment and made the effort to attend via Taxi. Secondly checking in for my appointment on the self check-in screen was easy, however being my first time visiting this particular surgery I did not know which floor my appointment was on, so I waited longer than necessary at the side of ground floor reception. The queue at reception was already several people long so I couldn’t ask the receptionist immediately, as I literally arrived within minutes of my appointment. In the end I happen to hear another patient mention my Doctors name, so using initiative I followed the patient upstairs to first floor and awaited for a further 20mins before I was called by the Doctor. After all of the travel, waiting time and uncertainty on arrival, I was seen for 5mins and advised to visit an A&E department, making the whole appointment seem pointless.

Going forward, on the self check in screen it would be very useful if along with the time and Doctors name, it could also tell patients which floor their appointment is on, helping to reduce reception queues, patient waiting times and being late for appointments.

Poor

Firstly i wasnt told that my appointment was at the doncaster branch and i arrived at the st saviours road branch which is round the corner to me. Had to take an uber and get to the other branch.
I wasnt satisfied with the DR response and need to book an appointment again unfortunately.

Listen more to the patient. Also let the patient know which branch to attend at.

I came for giving blood for testing and it taken in right time as my appointment and I don’t have to wait for it.
